I just installed my subs, went to test em out, and whenever the heavy bass starts on a tester one of them doesnt sound or look right. It starts to make this flapping noise and goes in and out further than the other one. I dont really know how to explain it except it sounds like ****. is this a common problem?

Out Of Phase

Check the polarity.

Make sure the +'s and - 's coming from the subwoofer to the box terminal is right and from the box terminal to the amp is right as well.

its in a sealed box so i didnt check from eachsub to the terminal but the terminal n amp are wired the same, it only makes the flapping noise on the low notes

Additinally, no need to reference "max" anything as those specs are useless. Most of know how to look at specs for a given speaker, amp, HU, etc...

If they had an orange basket I would have to buy them.... Hmmmm Sell my 4 Xs and get 6 of those and do no-wall again with one more 4500.....

That’s the little single 6.5 inch enclosure. The Savard did just as well as the RDS. These subs do well in ported or 6th orders but not as well...

Look at the Alpine Type S subs.
