Im working on my system and some poeple told me to go active and to get a alpine h701 with my IVA-w200, and go active with hertz speakers off a sundown audio 100.4.

I was wondering the advantages and disadvantages of sound processors and active setups?

Thanks

with active processing, you have independent control of each speaker. X-over frequencies, eq, time-delay, phasing, etc. can be controlled depending on your processor. Amp power can be reduced by quite a bit since each speaker has it's own channel. I use 35 watts to my tweets and it's plenty loud!
