Sad thing is, most of the people telling you to buy the more expensive set will not have heard either.

Talk to owners of both, see what they like or dislike about them.

Why speakers? YOu get so much more enjoyment out of an expensive hooker.

Hmm depends I guess. Do you plan on deading your doors? Better yet, do you plan on putting them into your doors? I'd say if you just want a nice sounding drop in speaker I'd go with the SLC's. Germs are nicer, but the law of diminishing returns will come into play. I've never been a huge fan of spending 500+ dollars to put a fullrange speaker into a door anyway. You'll lose many of the nicer qualities of the higher end speaker anyway. IMO, If your not using kicks, do the SLC's.

JL is for ballers. Theres a reason all the biggest rappers sing about JL, Zapco, Alpine..... and not Lightning audio or Pyle. It's all about the BALLER FACTOR.

If that's the case I'd go ahead and save for the germs.

If you're going to go to the trouble of mounting them in kicks, I'd go for the Germanium's.

Eclipse CD7000 - RioCar Empeg 3

Rainbow Powerline CS 275.27 / Arc Audio 4150 XXK (Woofers) - Arc Audio 2100 XXK (Tweeters)

Rainbow Vanadium 12 x2 / Arc Audio 1500 XXK

Your so full of Crap! The last place you want a Midbass or Sub is in front of you Retard Whens the last time you seen a 12in+ sub up front?

Technically, bigger wire has more resistance.

From an install point of view The Germs would better suit you, why take the time and sweat to build something that theres a good chance youll "upgrade" later anyway?

Product view..The Germs offer a plethora of variable crossover adjustments and utilize the infamous CAL25 tweet. Those two factors alone would have sold me.

As for justifying the extra coin, well that only your pockets can answer.

I have installed SLC's and heard a pair of Germ's in the same car. I would def get the Germ's if you can fund them.
