Wait, did you blow up your x's and are deciding whether to fix them or save some money and get L7's? I'd def. fix the x's if you've already got 'em.
And also, depending on what amplifier you have, most times two d4 speakers are a better configuration, unless your amplifier's .5 ohm stable.

I hope you realize that the first option is a RECONE for a solo-x, not an entire solo-x. So, like pointed out above, unless you have a solo-x already, then the first option doesn't make any sense.
