Zapco amp ?

1 JL 12w3 D4 sub and a Zapco Studio 100x amplifier (200 watts rms). How well this set up work in a Jeep Cherokee? I can get these 2 as a package deal for $270. What do you guys think? I know the sub is really good, just not sure about the amp. What kind of rep. does Zapco have? Does anyone have any experience with them? Thanks.

no personal experiance with zapco, but i've never heard anything bad about them. sounds like a good deal. maybe a bit underpowered though.

i know the sub reccommends 250 watts rms, but will the 200 watts be enough to get it bumpin' nicely?

yea, you should do just fine with that set-up. the zapco will work the jl's just fine.

zapco = v.good amplifiers, reliable, clean, and their top shit has LOADS of power - try the C2K 9 - can do over 2000RMS@4ohm. Even their lower range, the stuff you mention is good. Not sure bout the sub though, but thats just me - im anti-jl, but if you heard 1 and u like, u got da perfect combo.
