I repeated that class for a few years and even mixed it with Beerology 101 and even went for a minor in pharmacy for a bit.

Hey George, you gotta help me think of a symbol that has to do with Bob Marley. I'm going to get a Bob Marley tattoo, on my calves. One calf is going to say Bob the other Marley with an identical symbol on each calf. The only thing stopping me from getting it is I cant decide on a symbol or find the right symbol.

The jamaican flag(im not jamaican)

Anything Rastafarian (im not rastafarian and neither is Bob Marley)

Marijuana leaf or spliff( I do enjoy the herb very much, but do not want it tattooed on me)

1) i can try to think of something, but honestly, i know i wouldnt take any idea from some random screen name on a forum of what i should put on my body

3) DEFINITELY do not do the marijuana leaf. i mean, at least not on the calves. somewhere hidden sure, but you dont want to be judged every 15mins by someone for having a marijuana leaf, or a spliff on your leg (assuming you are gonna want to show off the tattoo or wear shorts a lot)

To the masses he was known as Bob Marley - the man who brought them reggae and Rastafarianism. His was the voice of classics like "No Woman No Cry" recorded live at the London Lyceum Ballroom in 1975.
However, what most people don't know, and many try to cover up, is the fact that Bob Marley converted to Christianity in 1980. In fact on 4 November 1980 he was baptised and became a member of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church. When he was buried under Orthodox rites on 21st May 1981 it was with his Bible and his Gibson guitar!

In the midst of his cancer battles and on his last tours Bob Marley's faith and worldview began to change. On November 4, 1980, Marley was baptized by the Archbishop of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church in Kingston Jamaica. Here's the account of the Archbishop concerning Bob Marley, his baptism and conversion:

"Bob was really a good brother, a child of God, regardless of how people

looked at him. He had a desire to be baptized long ago, but there were

people close to him who controlled him and who were aligned to a different

aspect of Rastafari . But he came to Church regularly. I remember once while

I was conducting the Mass, I looked at Bob and tears were streaming down his face...When he toured Los Angeles and New York and England, he preached the Orthodox faith, and many members in those cities came to the Church because of Bob. Many people think he was baptized because he knew he was dying, but that is not so...he did it when there was no longer any pressure on him, and when he was baptized, he hugged his family and wept, they all wept together for about half an hour."

hmm, i knew he got baptized, but i figured it was just because he was dying. the only thing im having a problem with is, the actual sources. who should i believe? or should we even care? i guess its really not a big deal to be honest, we will always know him at "Bob Marley" and nothing less regardless of what we know about his personal life.
