What do you do?

I can get anything under 25 cubes after port and all outta this thing...25 cubes is going to be an oddly shaped box. 17 or so cubes = a nice rectangular box.

Right now I have a pair of stroker 15's...and in the 15 cube half wall they managed a 150.1 on the pass. floor...with only 700 watts to each. And of course on the new tlab.

Ideas?

go all out on an odd shaped box because you know once you build a rectangular wall you will want to know what you could have done with them extra cubes and probably will end up changing your box again anyways. get some new subs and run the power you got.

Its a MECA m2 setup, forgot to add.

I'm keeping my amps, and can run 2 18's, 4 12's, 2 15's...or anything else with less cone area. I'm thinking a pair of 18's as it is.

btw the wall is ripped out now ready for a rebuild...the strokers are going in it until i get the fundage either way .

You say this because you think 4 12's would be better? 2 18's is actually a little more cone.

What I like about the 18's is that I'll never have to worry about blowing them with any power I could ever afford. 2 2500d's to each and they woudl be fine

Could do a quartet of HPO 12's...but i duno.

Don't go with MT's with that little power...

I'd say either up the amps, or maybe look into a pair of SE 15"s...

Remember the test that was posted here with SE/SEXXX and all tested in the same box? The mt was still the loudest...even though it wasn't getting a million watts. Should be the same way with lower power...or at least thats what I count on.

Honestly, I would probably keep the strokers. I have seen them do some amazing things SPL wise. As long as the power is there they are quite potent. They just need a lot of port area and a large box and then they slam hard.

Even 1-2 db makes them worth it to me...as you guys know, thats the difference between first and last sometimes.

I am gonna run the strokers in this box...hopefully with the better design and bigger box, i'll gain at least a db over my 150.
