Yesterday, a friend blew 145.2db off my old XXX I sold to him. Its in a 2004 Mazda3, 4.25cu/ft @ 33Hz, powered by a Hifonics BX1500D.

There was a small competition at his work, but employees were not allowed to join. Since it was looking like it was going to rain, the company decided to keep the LinX away and run with the Audiocontrol. After the whole comp, thats when the LinX was broke out (noone knew how to use it). Once all setup, thats when my friend blew the 145.2db.

Im satisfied. The sub and box came out of my hatch and straight into his. Granted it sounds louder in his than mine.

Long Live RE.

The 4.25 is net. Total is somewhere around 5.4 cu/ft. Its a XXX15, dual 2.

GHS, you shouldnt have a problem brinking 145s. Our box is tuned at 33Hz. We have plans to redesign the box that will accomodate a port plug, tuned to 50~60Hz.

To prove that the score was very real, one of the systems built by my friend came down to lay the law down with a solid 158db. His truck whipped out 156db at a sanctioned db Drag event last year. Only thing new this year was a new alternator.

Im deciding what subs I want to go with this time. Since my friend can get me killer deals on Eclipse, JL and JBL, Ive been veering my eyes towards 2 JBL/Crown BPX2200.1s and 4 Eclipse Titanium 15" sealed. I cant juice out 5cu/ft per sub for ported, so I may even go with 2 Ti15s and one BPX.
