well yesterday i was leaving school and i was at a environmental site (Norri Point NY) and i was driving up a hill that turned to the left (going up) and it had packed snow that was slippery then ice. (they are not allowed to salt the roads) so im BARLEY making it up this hill(very steep) but im moving along maybe 1-2mph spinning my tires badly(driving to the farest right as possible) when all of a sudden i see a fellow class mate who was late come flying down the hill like 15 mph. ( my window was open) i stick my arm out the window and motion slow down *** hole!!!...he sees me and has that O ____ look on his face. he slams the brakes.(what a amateur) and Tokyo drifts it right into my driver side fender and hitting me while my arm was out the window. now my arm is completely shattered. no no im jk i pulled it back in when i seen him sliding

but now my car has 1793$ worth of damage and its only worth about 1300-1500$ NOW WHAT. i dont wanna waste money fixing it but i think i should be compensated for him driving like a asshat and hitting me.

we called the state park police. came like 40 min later. cop pretty much says its his fault its pretty obvious. kids pretty much tries saying he wasnt speeding and the cop was like *cough________cough*...

what do you think will happen?

1)they give me the money that the body shop says it will cost to fix.

2) they refuse to pay anything close to what the Body shop says.

3) they give me 1300 and total my car then take it.

4) give me 1300 for my car salvage the title and tell me to keep it cuz its not worth them taking it.

Im hoping for 1 or 4

They'll do #3, but you would have the option to buy it back for $100-$200 with a salvaged title.

That was how my auto accident back in 1998 was handled.

at least you are okay, its just a car, and its easily replacable.

then move somewhere where it doesnt snow.

yeah but this sorta thing happend to my GF with her 95 neon. some ladt t boned her and she got like 1500 for the car, but they were like if you want you can have the car we dont want it. so she continued to drive it unitll the engine ended up going.

i guess we will see what happens.

^ hes right. I was going to get full coverage on my crown vic but the insurance company said it would be a waste of money. they would only pay up to what the car was worth then call it totaled.

I have a pretty good condition 91 integra special edition.

not totally rare but kinda. i love that car. for bein FWD its sweet. and i will NOT be able to buy another 1300-1500$ car like it. i got it for a steal.

i would have rather not get hit and continued drivin my older nice condition car.

its kind of a "mental thing" to me.

yes you have a nice NEW car. but i have a NICE OLD car with every option and it still all works.

They're famous for being real @ssholes when their drivers are responsible.

They werent going to give me anything, I had to buy it back.

When their own inspection showed my car (1965 Roadster Baja VW) was totalled, they paid me $2800 for it.

(I had bought it a year earlier for $2500)

I asked them if I could get back, and they charged me $150 for it.

i thought they you meant they were not oing to give you ANYTHING back like $$ for the car..

car runs drives fine (under 55-60mph) above that shakes like a *****.

alignment is fcuked maybe broken axel didnt bother checking that yet.

the fender stops the door from opening all the way.

i want to just tell the kid give me a 1000$ cash and call it even.
