Hi everyone
I would like to buy a Car Audio brand name with all of its rights such as web site, marks and everything. If you are not the seller, please advice brand names so I can check with them. I appreciate for any suggestions.
Thanks

Not sure how far 100-200 gets you into buying an audio brand that's doing anything. Inventory will probably add up very quickly and with the current state of importing from the Far East you'll need to start ordering today if you expect to have products in stock before mid summer. Also not cheap.

If you have a niche product and a very good one you could probably do OK, something like the Anarchy mid-woofers could probably be done on a light budget, but R&D of a truly good and unique product won't come cheap and if you already have a product why not just use your existing brand name, or make a new name suitable for export, and go from there?

Honestly I can't see any value in buying a brand name from a company that is struggling/failing/already failed and thinking that's giving you a leg-up, because now you're buying all the bad parts of the reputation from whatever caused them to fail in the first place.

Honestly if you want to set up a good international business, you should see if you can get into selling 7.62X37 ammunition to the USA. In a couple years we will no longer be able to import ammunition from Russia (unless we get some new people in government who change this policy) and someone will need to pick up the slack. In the meantime, supply is still rather thin here and if you can figure out how to manufacture at a competitive price you should be able to sell it as fast as you could make it.

I think Turkey already manufactures a lot of weapons (some of which are pretty good) and other things for NATO so you may already have good infrastructure and talent in your country already.

Thank you very much for your advices and explanation.
First of all, we have a special (at least we assume that :) ) R&D team. We already have our own designs with very special materials.
We have spent almost 20 years in this sector. So, car audio is kind of passion for us.
But as you see, you didn't want to buy speaker from us, you talked about weapons and of course you are not wrong when you talked about that. This is the main reason we would like to buy a brand name which is well-known in global market. In that case, people will not think that we are fraud or our products are not worth.

In all honesty, I would not look for a brand name that is already established. I would bring in my own brand with a competitive price point. I would more so look for well known competitors like Gary Killian. Offer to fully sponsor him. Send him all the product for free, have him win some competitions using my brand and watch it blow up.

Right now, no one really cares about a brand name. We are more interested in a quality product with a good price. We want to see honest ratings, meaning if you say the amplifier puts out 1500 watts at 1ohm. It better put out a minimum of 1500 watts at 1ohm. Don't overrate your amps and say they put out 4000 watts and then they bench test at 800 watts. Don't say your sub takes 1000 watts with a single stack magnet and a 1" voice coil.

Be honest with your ratings. Set your price point reasonable. Sponsor a well known competitor. And watch your product disappear from the shelves.

This is the main reason we would like to buy a brand name which is well-known in global market. In that case, people will not think that we are fraud or our products are not worth.
Again you come back to the point where you're buying a name people know you're buying their baggage. Most of these defunct "brands" disappeared owing a lot of people money and product. At best you buy up a name like TC Sounds (who had a very turbulent few runs, but at least a lot of fantastic products along the way) but now there is an expectation that you'll be selling woofers designed by Thilo. Look at the Adire Audio reboot, they had to pay Dan Wiggins to consult to keep up with customer expectations.

Consider DEI's attempts with the Orion brand name. From where that brand was in 1997 to where it is today I'd say DEI would have done better for less just picking a whole new name and trying to build that than trying to carry on with a name that's had a lot of ups and downs.

The point being if you try to buy a name like RD, or Diablo, you'll spend most of your startup budget just trying to convince people you're not the same guys that sold a container load of dud amps and then disappeared.

IF your product is indeed something new, why try to ride the coattails of an old brand? Really I think your 200K would get you further just either using your existing name or creating a new name and working on building a reputation there, particularly if you have original/unique product.
