baseball is boring and gay... too boring to play and too boring to watch. and when was the last time you so a soccer player play in world cup with a beer belly like in baseball?

well this i cna agree with you since alot of people have not played or know soccer only from what is on tv and which is NOTTING... never talked about either. im hispanic i was rasied on soccer, and so was my dad and he is european, but he likes basketball and football.

i guess you have to be a foreigner to enjoy it? i dunno...

i still think soccer > all other sports

Soccer just isnt big enough in USA to be liked as much as other sports. I cant stand watching sports if I dont understand the rules completely. I didnt like watching soccer until about 2 or 3 years ago when I really began to fully understand the game of soccer and Ive been playing for about 8 years.

As much as I love Football and watching the Superbowl, the World Cup is the world's premier sports event. It interesting how Americans always disregard this fact and ridicule the sport. I guess since most haven't played soccer at a competitve level, they don't understand the game and the strategy behind it. There are no Hail Merrys or 3 on 1 breakaways like in Hockey or Basketball. To score a goal an entire team has to work together. It's all about switching the field, short passing, and ball control.

World Cup > NBA Championships > Yankees v Sox games > Belmont or Preakness > French Open > Nascar > PGA Tournament (with Wie) > PBA (Bowling)

Well its simple enough to come to a conclusion on this. People are usually biased because they either like the sport, have played it at one time or where grown up on it. Since soccer isnt that big over here of course most people will talk smack about it. I wont say I hate it, but just dont watch it much and when I watch it I fall asleep until someone says GOALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL! Then I wake up and yell at the god dam TV for waking me up.

I was watching ESPN this morning and they were talking about ticket prices. Originally, a ticket to the Germany/Costa Rica game was 200. At the stadium, fans were selling them for 2000. A ticket to the championship game cost 10,000. What other event is popular enough to sell tickets for that insane price?

Hell playoff tickets where around 5gs for good seats at the Cleveland Cavs game when they were playing the pistons. I know, I was supposed to go. Then I felt like saving my money to make my house payment. I made a good choice I think.
