Wiring another amp?

Im going to add my jbl 1200 amp this week and im going to run 4 gauge wire from the battery to the distro block. Then from the distro block 4 gauge wire to the (2) amps. The jbl has a total of (3) "40" fuse & the other amp has (2) "20" fuse. My question is how big of a fuse should i place by the battery? And should i fuse the power cable from the distro block to the amps itself?

Thx -John

Another quick question, Can i tap into the existing remote turn on lead? So the remote turn on wire will be powering 2 amps? Will this cause any problems?

thx

I agree with every one above. OFC is much better. Copper is a much better conductor than aluminum.
