I love it. My friends wife is a Democrat. Do they all just love to argue and tell you that you are wrong lol. I don't like cooked apples. Not apple pies, fritters or whatever. I think the texture of a cooked apple is gross. The flavor is fine, I just can't do the texture. This one wants to tell me it depends on how they are cooked. I said no, I have been eating food for 47 years and I have had apples just about every way possible and when they are cooked, it ruins them for me. She still wanted to tell me I was wrong... about my own opinion of cooked apples. I think apples are best raw or in sauce form.

You don't like apple pie?!?!?! There is clearly something wrong with you...

I hate the way society is. Most people are trained to obey authority, and, to me, it seems like most people don’t really have a personality that they developed themselves, like people’s minds are just a combination of a bunch of pre-packaged thoughts given to them, where they never actually have an original thought of their own. Our education system is based around memorizing and repeating the memory, instead of teaching critical thinking skills for people to be able to come to a conclusion on their own about any subject.

There’s just a lack of a true fiery spirit within most of humanity, and most people just follow and drone along within this giant socially engineered world, where almost everyone has just some copy/paste mentality given to you by a religion or corporation or government. It’s like there’s a giant mind virus that infects people and just erases individual thoughts and installs some brain operating system that’s pretty much the same within most, and it’s leading us all to be lost, which is causing our world to fall apart. It’s like the masses are going backwards in our brain evolution.

Certain subjects are absolutely merely memorization, but they become less-so the deeper you get into them. That's a large reason why I enjoy math: you are taught how rather than what.

There is a general formula that nearly guarantees an average life. Go to school, become proficient in a job you can tolerate for 40 years, contribute to 401k. By average life I mean you will never excel, but you will never starve, and you will be able to retire someday. It requires risk to reach our full potential, and most (myself included) opt for the guaranteed average versus pursuing greatness at the risk of great loss.

People are lazy and want everything now. It's sad. Growing up there were no cell phones and fat chance on personal computers. We had school, libraries and good old fashioned "if you want it you will have to go get it". Now, everyone is lazy and think they are smarter than they are. No life skills and many have no idea about earning something. Then you have people like the libertwins on here who, for some reason think they can sit and judge everyone else as if they have anything to be proud of in their lives or some kind of gift that makes them superior. Acting like they are part of the 1% because they voted wrong but don't realize they will always remain beneath those they voted for as pawns.
Just skimming the thread and this made me chuckle. Aren’t you the guy who was pissed at COVID because he had to get a real job?

And you’re a bit younger than me. No personal computers were available in your area when you were a kid? Legit?

Nope and Nope, personal computers were for the rich and that we weren't. We were lucky to have an Atari 2600 when it came out. We didn't have things given to us. If we wanted things we earned them.

I didnt get any video game consoles ever. I got a computer (pre-IBM PC days) because it would be educational. I wasn’t given games for it. I had to type in the lines of code from a book if I wanted games.
It worked. In High School I got to do a year of independent study doing DOS-based projects. By college, I was creating websites using HTML since there were no drag-and-drop editors.
Should have stayed in that world.

I didn't start getting into computers until Windows 95 and AOL. Back when it could take up to several days to download a single song from Audiogalaxy or Napster. Later my friend and I would use KAZAA and Morpheus to connect directly to other machines privately and download at the time what we thought to be unheard of speeds. Full movies or albums taking just minutes to hours and our main downloads were games for the playstations. I am pretty sure we had nearly all available US marketed PS games All burned on Verbatim CDr or DVDr.

i worked in retail when 3.1 came out. We had to get MS certified just to be able to sell it alongside the $500 20MB hard drives. Twenty whole megabytes.
Had I only realized and invested in the company instead of the software…

I've got you both beat. When I was in the Marines I repaired pre-integrated circuit air traffic control systems. Clock speed on our system was just over 4 kilobits/sec.

You’re just a hateful person. Like calling my designs crayon drawings is nothing but unfounded hate. All engineers make plans to build things; the building you’re sitting in right now was designed by some engineer with “crayon drawings” to make sure your house doesn’t fall down on top of you. When an engineer is designing a building or a car or whatever, that’s deep planning and advanced physics that goes into the thought of what‘s needed for whatever is being built to be successful. My audio engineering skills allow me to design for enclosures, when I’m not sickly, that is, that cost thousands of dollars in vehicles with 10’s of thousands of dollars worth of audio equipment. You’re just a hater, and it’s genuinely sad to see a grown man, who supposedly likes car audio, shit all over someone who does nothing but try to provide people with the best bass possible by designing advanced enclosures for them. Why would you hate on someone who does nothing but make people’s bass sound the way they want it to? Isn’t that what we’re all here for?

Because you talked about my daughter's being ***** and told me to go kill myself. You could've apologized and ended it. Instead you doubled down on it. Have I ever ripped on you about your physical condition? I don't hate anybody. My daughter's weren't even allowed to say that word in my house. That is how much I don't like that word.
