What other sports have been publicized besides swimming? Maybe a track athlete here and there. You make it sound like women's sports are inundated with a bunch of male athletes taking over their sports. Keep running with that narrative. I've yet to see one male in female softball or basketball.
Actually, fast pitch softball is one of the sports that I could see a guy arguing that he should be allowed to play because it isn't offered to them. That's how guys were able to be on the women's volleyball team when I was in High School in the 80's.

Not a bad idea on a few levels.
1) A robot can take on more risk than a human - for example it could allow the suspect to shoot first before returning fire.
2) Obviously less risk to human officers
3) Gets around this precedent that is getting set that officers can be tried for murder.
