Just because I am correct that the President CAN and DOES effect gas prices through his direct and indirect action does not mean that by default I don't think gas prices are not driven by supply and demand and market speculations. What the President does can affect all those metrics. Common sense.

Understand this, the way I think is not in a line like closed minded RobGMN. I am fully aware that one thing affects another. I know that if I buy a Snickers bar from the gas station that it does not just affect the merchant.
There are the people that sourced the coco
The importers of the coco
The people that turn it into chocolate
The farmers that supply the milk
Packaging plants
Marketing people
Sales reps
Delivery people
and so on.

All these things affect the prices and any individual thing in the chain can affect the prices. Just like the President of the United States can embargo, make deals, break deals... these things can affect the gas producing countries indirectly or directly.

Tell me, If Biden decided that all the oil and gas that America uses will only come from America. MEaning America will no longer buy oil from any other country. How do you think the global market would be affected?
