Because he was making his ridiculous claims months before Jan 6th, and Jan 6th just happened to be the day of the Electoral College vote. ‘Would have been pretty stupid to show up on Jan 7th and protest, no? And, they weren’t there BEFORE Jan 6th, “protesting peacefully”.
So, why the weapons and pipe bombs for a “peaceful protest”?

Because it speaks to what the “peaceful protesters” were up to that day.
People were found with weapons, including stun guns, baseball bats, pepper spray, pipe bombs.
These are items you bring to a “peaceful protest” where you’re told to “fight like hell” (but only in a “metaphorical” way, per some people)?
Isn’t that like saying the guy who pointed the gun at the bank teller and demanded money was just confused and thought it was a withdrawal form?

We're way past the "what if" stage...there's enough facts about what happened...people like you use conjecture to muddy it up to fit your narrative...they were protesting (doesnt matter why) and it devolved into a riot...

There's plenty of video supporting Ray Epps as a major instigator...

So here's the videos of Ray Epps. One the day before, he says they need to go inside. Hyperbole??? But at the actual riot, we can see Ray is calling for calmer heads. The person he addresses in the 3rd video testified that Ray told him to "Relax, the cops are just doing their job." Instigator? I don't think so, he certainly wasn't instigating at the barriers.

My point about Epps is, he is on the run because of conspiracy theories about him being an FBI Agent provocateur. Wouldn't an FBI plant wear a mask and glasses to obscure their identity? Would an FBI plant be stupid enough to get interviewed on video blowing his cover? Wouldn't an FBI agent change caps? If Epp's "mission" there was to incite violence, why is calling for cooler heads when the violence is about to erupt?

Why did the FBI like stealth remove Epps from their most wanted list? He called to go into the Capitol; it’s strange how absolutely horridly so many others have been treated, yet Epps gets off and taken off the FBI’s wanted list. Strange how he literally called for people to go in, people called him out as a fed, then the feds removed him off their wanted list, and the media plays him as a victim. Super sus.
