FL is the number one state in the country to retire in. No state income, Summer just about year round, cost of living index is 98.2, has a higher population age of 60 and older (huge reason), average property price is 250k

Las Vegas don't even make the top 15 states to retire in, and its not because of the weather . . its because there is a high cost of living in Vegas. You don't have a state tax and property taxes are reasonable, but you lose your *** on mortgages there, and your crime rates are higher, and its a health care wasteland which is bad for a senior who needs specialized healthcare.

I never said people retire to Vegas. I said it's worse working outside in Vegas compared to Florida because of the weather.

Come spend some time in Vegas when it's 115° plus. I've lived in Knoxville, TN right on the river and I've lived in KC right next to the Missouri river and Vegas is worse IMO. Right now I live 30 minutes from Death Valley.

I've spent plenty of summers in SLC...I can tell you 110 in the desert feels way better than 95 with 80 plus humidity...especially to work in...at least in my opinion...
