Alcohol is much worse than weed IMO because your coordination isn't a severly effected as compared to alchohol.

I dunno about all that.......

Depending on the strain/potency, pot can be pretty ****ing powerful.

I think the only thing that makes pot 'safer' is that when you're high, you REALIZE how f'ed up you are, where with booze, you for whatever reason feel even MORE confident than usual.

Walking down the streets of Durango, CO I saw a poster saying "LEGALIZE POT, VOTE YES ON 44!!"
Then had a chick a few blocks down tell me "legalize pot man" with a poster.

Yup amendment 44 here in Colorado would decriminalize possession of an ounce of weed. A similiar measure has already been passed by the city of Denver.

While it would still be illegal by federal law one has to wonder how much time/money the federal government wants to waste in federal courts trying to convict somebody of having 25 bucks worth of weed.

Think about how many people die every year because of marijuana crimes. I know countless people that have had guns pulled on them for a small amount of weed (as little as a quarter pound!) Just last year I had two buddies killed at gunpoint because some idiot thought that a $1,000 in weed was more important than their lives...

All of the illegal grow houses would be inoperable, and organized crime would lose millions of dollars. Just a few months back in Port Saint Lucie there was a large number (I am talking 50+) grow houses found out. There was some drug cartel in New Jersey that would pay people to live in these houses with a grow room, and they did not have to pay a single mortgage or utility bill; after 4 years the house was said to become theirs. It's rediculous what criminals will do to make a dollar, or a million for that matter.

It can only benefit out nation. Just because it gets legalized doesnt mean everyone in America will turn into potheads and become erratic criminals, like our government seems to suggest. Alcohol is legal, and there are millions of people that choose not to drink, myself including.

The government needs to wake up, and get over it. People are going to get high regardless, so they might as well legalize it so it can be somewhat of a 'supervised' high rather than all this crime..

They are both drugs, they can both screw with you, should you drive under the influence of either....hell no!. But if your gonna legalize one drug for use in bars and homes, whats the logic in not legalizing both?

Only problem I see is how do you test somebody for driving while high? The only tests cops have currently show if you've smoked for quite some time in the past. They can't prove you just got high (unless you wreak like a skunk). There will be some major problems with DUID cases if it passes. I see that coming already.

I disagree. Although is affects individuals differently, marijuana inhibits your senses much less; it's a fact.

The few times I have been drunk, I am completely impaired and unable to coordinate myself to even walk, much less operate a vehicle. However, when I smoke weed I am able to continue with my normal activities, and people rarely notice when I am high.

A simple flashlight to your pupil will determine that you are under the influence of marijuana; the pupil reacts MUCH slower to light, therefore will dialate at an alarmingly slow rate that is obvious to police. Your eyes are red, and you get a nasal drip that is apparent if they shine a light into your nostrils.

But you have to admit, sometimes you get that occasional bag that puts you so far into the couch you can't move for an hour, if you say you haven't your a liar or in need of a new hookup.

I agree most marijuana highs are way less intrusive than an alcohol binge, but do you agree you shouldn't drive high?

Lol when I'm drunk I do stupid shit and im scared to even get behind the wheel. When I'm high I pay attention to every little detail and stop for a complete 3 seconds at a stop sign, so in other words I think I'm a better driver when Im high cuse I am more focused. I wouldn't say a certain bag would do it, every bag I buy has the ability to do it. It depends on your mannar of smoking, if you want to feel that way then you can smoke more or smoke it out of something that will get you 'ripped.'

Just like alcohol, you can drink a bottle, or a case. You will get drunk either way, but one will put you on your ***.

And no, I do not condone driving under the influence of anything, just putting in my experience to the thread.

Yup, that is totally wrong man. Our federal government needs to put more time and money into TRUE detection for DUID's instead of just sitting on that fat ***** and taking in money from Booze lobbyist to not legalize marijuana so booze profits stay up.

I would have lawyer'd up and fought that to the bitter end (but you shouldn't have had to). There is a reason why just roadside tests don't usually constitute enough evidence to convict somebody of a DUI, because its not hard quantifiable data, its somebody's interpretation. That just flat out sucks man.

I'm all for the decrim of marijuana. If you can go to any liquor store and buy enough booze to kill you and your friends, you should atleast be able to buy a joint at the corner store.

I didnt actually mean right next to Las Vegas. But you here Reno on tv a lot for some of the reasons yall are talkin about.
