Will weed be legal in nevada?

Just thought I would share the billboard that amendment 44 supporters put up in Denver:

Well a poll ran results on the 23rd in Colorado:

1,000 Colorado adults were interviewed 10/20/06 - 10/22/06. Of them, 856 were registered to vote. Of them, 594 were judged to be "likely" voters. Crosstabs reflect Likely Voters.

On Amendment 44, concerning marijuana, 36% today are certain to vote "Yes." 43% are certain to vote "No." 21% of likely voters are not certain how they will vote on 44.

I sure hope some of that 21% are just to shy to admit wanting to vote "yes." I also hope all those "yes" replies were done by the "likely" voters.

In Nevada, the Las Vegas Review-Journal had a poll showing Question 7 failing 56 percent to 34 percent.

However, an internal poll of the Nevada ballot measure showed it passing 49 percent to 43 percent.

That poll, conducted by an independent research firm based in Los Angeles, was taken in August.

Oh well, if not this year, maybe the next. I believe it will be legalized within the next 10 years though. You just have to look at the population as a whole. Every generation is becoming more and more tolerant to different views and being more acceptable of trying different. I mean, look at racism and homophobicy today. Racism is almost completely gone and we are coming to a point were it is almost acceptable to be gay. Although I personally think being gay is a very wrong choice and that is it completely unnatural. (Unless you are the two chicks in my ava //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif )

Well, I just got back from Vegas last night. Very interesting around Halloween time, Ive never seen so many naughty maids, bunnies & kitties in my life //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Had a great time to say the least.

Saw a few commercials for the brief moments I was in the hotel room about this, obviously it was for legalization & brought up many good point, ect..

2 min later on the news they said something about a completely new voting system will be in effect & not even the people operating the poles know 100% how to work them. I dont know how thats going to effect how this turns out, but something weird is definitely going on.

Funny how they get a brand new voting system so close to a vote, especially this one.

I'm amazed at all of you in this thread...

You have successfully had a discussion about drugs that didn't turn into a shitfest like they normally do here. Good job.

my friend has a prescription for those marinol pills and they are crazy, but i just looked at the prices and its hundreds of dollars for those pills and would be cheaper just to buy a ton of weed.
Its really would be and is overall better. Its been a proven fact you just can't obtain ALL the effects of smoking marijuana that a certain patient may need. This is often the case with people who have MS. They can take all the THC capsules and pain pills they want but weed is the only thing that will fully relieve their pain.

legalize it. seriously.

enough bs already.

Edit: actually, the local NORML (National Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana Laws), which I am a part of, is trying to pass measure P right now in Santa Barbara, which would make weed the legal equivalent of jay-walking and make it the lowest police priority. You bet your *** I'll be voting yes.

That's because there are something like 35 cannabinoid receptors in the brain, all of them respond to different cannabinoids, that's why there are different types of highs (e.g. sleepy high, energetic high, body high, head high, etc,), because different strains have different ratios of cannabinoids. Pills like Marinol only contain one form or a couple of these cannabinoids, so you really can't get all the effects. You're better off eating an edible, vaping, or using tincture.

just my .02
