who many watts for kicker solo 10?

First off I'm not looking to raise the roof. The rest of the system is Alpine 9815 to Clarion Pro Audio 4x6 dash, PPI 2240 (60x2) to 6.5 two ways in the doors and then the 10" Kicker Solo. This is going in a 2001 S10 Extended cab and I do like to use the back seat so a physically small amp is best.

I've looked at the MRPM350 from Alpine.

Input and suggestions would be great.

No NO NOOO!!!

Are you grazy... that amp puts out ONLY 350W @2 Ohm... and Kicker SoloX 10" can handle 2500W easy, presumedly even more... you need to look something much much better (minimum 2000W I guess) or you buy some other woofer.

Settle down dude...don't make him buy something he doesn't need. And to tell you the truth, I don't think he even has a SoloX. He just mentioned a Solobaric 10....now that could be the L5 or the L7. And also, he mentioned that he's not looking to "raise the roof"...put it this way, your Alpine is a little under rated and can put out somewhere around 400w rms and that should be plenty for your solo 10. Sure, you won't be the loudest(but you can still shake your car pretty good IMO), but you also won't be deaf...and plus you have a truck so your space is small which makes this well and above your satisfaction.

I was a little surprised at what the one guy said. I used to run that kind of power, but I'm older and deafer now. I don't need to have everyone hear what I'm listening to.

One suggestion that a friend of mine made was a Solo 8 L5 in a ported box. Less power needed and probably enough bass to fulfill my needs.
