you are going to get everything from Kicker to Jensen(well maybe not jensen) but everybody is going to tell you their personal opinion, including me. try the new sony mono block d-class amp i got mine for $375 canadian and it beats my cousins MMATTS 500.2 that costs almost double.The SONY amp runs in 4-2-1 ohm,4 at 300rms,2 at 600rms,1 at 1000 rms. most dummies out there when you say sony they laugh at you and think you know **** all until you show them then you get respect and a possable trophy with a sony amp no ****.I bought my amp at the future shop so i could return it if it ****** but i found out it wasn't so bad.I hope this could shed a little light or entertain you.keep the tunes cranked i'm out.

many factors in determining this..cost to all out performance.. if you want to be in the middle i suggest memphis studio... cost wise earthquake or harrison sound labs. (i know the earthquakes cost alot retail but you can scoop them up cheaper on line) but the earthquakes are pure humpage while the harrison's need tweeked.crossfire heck even sony explodes lol -choke

I have 6-Directed(DEI) 1100d's. When I went to my dealer to get acquainted with the Amp, he powered one up by plugging it into a wall at 120VAC and let it run for an hour. That particular Amp runs my #2Subwoofer out of the 6 12's in my system. I have had it for about a year and run it at 1 ohm (1100 watts). I can run this amp on high power for hours and it gets barely warm enough to melt and ice cube. The Directed 1100d's are in the $500-$600 dollar range.

Holy cow!!!

Check out the new Kicker amps!!! Power power power!!! What's that? Why... More power!!! They are very powerful and very cool looking. I agree that the Pre-2002 models did not look to good but if you want to score some beauty points in IASCA, go with the new Kicker amps. You can even send in the shell part and have it custom colored for you. I am going to have mine painted Red and Black. Definately worth the money. JBL makes a pretty good amp too I must say. on the sony note, make sure it's es ( iknow iknow), however they aren't making the es series anymore. stay away from REGULAR xplod amps. those who say sony ***** haven't heard the es series.

mmats, us amps memphis mtx hell rockford now too there are lots but the first 2 mmats and us amps are great but on the db drags burp lanes the earthquakes hold their own

do u guys have ANY FREEKIN clue about what you are saying? has any of yall ever heard of ZAPCO? and i think crossfire or somebody has a 2400 pure watts. not too many amps can put that out at a 1 ohm load!

at last someone said ZAPCO! man, but where do you get ZAPCO, i think they only sell in US or maybe some other few countries... even the most the famous brands like JL, kicker, CV, MTX are very hard to find here in Australia and if there is..it cost like gold or something... UNFAIR!

zapco in class d? not that i am saying anything but the rep here was bragging them up and first show they entered here (2 yrs ago or so) got slammed by us high current amps with less subs (and if i remember they was both runnin atomic after shock now called shockers) 2 less amps 2 less subs less effiecient and flat out got beat by 4 db =( now they sound great but i dunno i want to say they was class d but maybe they was ag 1000's??? lol at my age i wonder about my memory but the stats i posted are correct

Im running a thread on best SPL amp in amps section, check it out. Withe reagrd to amps that can do more than 2400watts, try US Amps SPL-4000X =

1000 Watts x 2 into 4 Ohms

1320 Watts x 2 into 3 Ohms

2000 Watts x 2 into 2 Ohms

4000 Watts Bridged into 4 Ohms

and has siganl2noise ratio of 98dB.

Not bad huh? Never seen heard 1myself tho, sooooo there.....oh and ZAPCO

planet audio makes some **** nice mono amps, i have the 1200d, it's stable down to 1 ohm, at 2 ohms @ 12.5volts it puts out 1060x1. if you need more power the bigger bro of that is the 2500d, it's crazy.

Man i was checking out the harrison's lab amp the top of the line one. I've never heard it run but if it runs a true 4800 x1 at i ohms then how can you compare with that. Disregarding the price of course. But for the money i would have to say a landzar opti drive 1000.id because they cost bout $300-400 online and with a rockford capacitor it pushed 4 8 ohm mtx 8000's to the limit.
