I like having a trunk, so one sub would be awesome, but i i've never heard of a sub taking 1500w RMS, i'm open to suggestions, I have a single sealed 10" box (1cu. ft.) coming in the mail and a ported partitioned 2 12" box that i'm using currently, but like i said, would really like to get my trunk back. If need be i can live without it though :p

I have a 15" RE XXX that recommends 1600watts rms I have the Hifonics brutus 1500D as well. I would say a RE XXX or Orion H2

Its RATED for 1600W. There's a big difference between rated and recommended. By rated they are saying it can take it, but they are not saying that you need that kind of power. My XXX 12 is probably not even getting 400W right now and it sounds phenomenal.

The XXX series can handle that kind of power without a problem. So can the Adire Brahma and the H2. I don't think that the H2 will have quite the musicality as the other 2 but it will more than hold its own in the SPL category.

Dude I have my XXX 15" on the Hifonics Brutus 1500D and its running at 1ohm load at 14.4 volts which is 1500watts rms. Mine runs like a charm sounds good and is very loud.

I said that it could handle that power. I'm not disagreeing with you there. What I am saying is that there is a big difference between rated and recommended power. The XXX series subs are RATED to handle 1600W. That does not mean that they NEED that kind of power. It will perform well with a lot of power, that is not in dispute, so don't get your knickers in a twist, but it performs well (just not as loud and if you just want loud, the XXX are not the best subs for that) with less power. People get too hung up on making sure that they have RATED power going to their subs but you almost never actually send that kind of power to the sub. It just doesn't happen. The XXX's are not efficient by any stretch and you wouldn't be able to get away with 100W rms on one (you could with other subs), the mids and highs would just run all over it. I would say that anywhere from 500 up and the XXX's would sing and would get more than loud enough for most sane people. If you just want to street beat then run a ton of power in a big box with a relatively high tuning freq but for listening to music that kind of power just isn't needed.
