Which headunit?

Well im about to get my car and im getting an old bmw so it doesnt have a cd player. my dad agreed that he would buy me whatever cd player i want to go with the rest of my system when i get it later. i dont know much about headunits except for which brands to get, i couldnt find a whole lot of stuff about the features. i know i want an alpine cus i like the interface and i know i want a mp3 player with it. my limit is 350, preferably around 300. just incase it will help i plan on running diamond audio hex's in the front powered by a 150x2amp, and a magnum d2 powered by a 1200 watt amp. thanks.

I'd get an alpine 9813...you can find them pretty easily for $300 or less...they sound great and have a lot of options. Go to http://www.alpine-usa.com and look up the different head units that are in your pricerange if you are still curious to see what is out there in Alpine. You can get the 9813 even cheaper off of ebay...but you don't get the warranty...a trade off I suppose.

hell, there are 3-4 eclipse models that play mp3s in his price range, brand new, from an authorized dealer lol.
