Which do I cut?

Don't cut the 12" circle.

The driver should have a "cutout diameter" ... whether it be on a spec/installation sheet that came with it, or somewhere on the manufacturers website.

cut it just enough so that the sub can be mounted on...cut out diameter is what you are looking for...i'm guessing 11 1/6 inches is the cutout diameter, at least that's what mine was for a 12

When making a box do I cut an 12 inch circle for a 12?
they should have let you cut the 12" hole just for asking that. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/banghead.gif.8606515f668c74f6de0281deb475b6fd.gif

Shut the **** up *******, atleast he asked in the first place.

Word of advice.....don't always trust manufacturer's sites. For example, the .pdf for the Brahma on Adire's site listed the cut-out diameter for the 10" Brahma to be 9" when it was really 9.5" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif An honest mistake on Adire's part, but a mistake none-the-less.

:p
just messin with him, that was kind of a common sense thing not to cut a 12" hole though
Well I didn't know if it was measured from like, the end of the cone(I think that's what it is anyway) to the other end, or if 12 was the measurement of the whole thing, including the mounting bracket things, and now I know it is.
