I have a 2016 GM Navi 900 factory head unit, I recently installed a pioneer gm-d1004 amp 4x45 watt RMS and it has made an excellent improvement in sound with the 4 factory speakers I have but I would now like to upgrade my front door speakers to start off with. I do like a decent amount of bass and don't like too harsh tinny highs (I think silk dome is better for this). Bearing this in mind which of the below speakers would be best, I have no idea there is so much choice and I do not want to spend a fortune. In addition to the amp I installed a ksc-sw11 underseat sub which is ok, but I am thinking about getting a bigger version, maybe.

Would the focal access sound better than the auditors SQ wise?

Also Alpine G or S series if was to go Alpine.

Any thoughts appreciated!!

Have a set of these in one my trucks, and they sound very nice. I would not rule out a pair of Infinity or even a set of Polks

Thanks, I will take a look at them.

What type of speakers are the four factory. 6.5s, tweeter, etc?
The factory speakers are all 20W 4ohm I believe, there are coax in the rear doors and a "wooofer" in the front doors and a mini speaker in the dash which has a capacitor on it and is inline with the front door speakers I think as there are only 4 pair of speaker wires. I cant find an adaptor anywhere for the dash speakers.

Unless you are going to deaden and seal up your doors into a proper psuedo speaker enclosure, almost all these aftermarket options will lack lower midrange depth and have anemic midbass. Imagine overly bright and tinny. Deadening is everything when it comes to door speaker bass, midbass and lower midrange performance.

To what extent should sound deadening be done on the doors? I already sound deadened my boot area (trunk) with some silent coat and foam.

I see some people do the entire front of the door behind the door card replacing the factory polythene and some just deaden the outer panel behind the speaker and stick in speaker foam rings, I don't want to go crazy with it if I do not have to.

This comes with a kit, any any good:

Basically how a sound engineer deadens his door.

Yeah I’m up ****’s creek. OP has gotta be more specific about his equipment and what he wants, IMO. 10’s take different boxes, so it’s hard to...

Watch the video pop put up. Those don't put up anywhere near what they claim. Hence why spokey said run it at 1 ohm.
