where there's smoke...there's just a really bad smell please help

Alright i just got a new amp 3rd crappy one in a month. its a 800 watt 2 channel legacy red series, i know they're crap but i cant afford a better one just yet!! anyway the amp works great, it pounds my 15" orions really well but, the amp smokes, just from where the level(or gain) knob is. Now the other thing you should know is that i have no rca's i just a have a high level input jack that is spliced to my speakers( i have reported this in previous threads). The smokke may be coming from the in put for high level input as well, but im not sure. How do i tell where or why its smoking, and how do i prevent it froim happening? is it just because its a new amp or what?

Well it sounds like since you arebuying three new amps in a month then you could have just bought like a profile or somthin' thats still cheap but doesnt **** so bad. and save money and lots of trouble. Im sure its just that it is a peice of **** amp, amps are never supposed to smoke and its not ok. Expect it to die soon.

what ohm load are you wiring your subs to? I've never seen smoke coming from a high level input before, not to say it hasnt happened to somebody before though. You could be just presenting the POS amp too low of an ohm load and have the gains to high, and are probably just frying the crap out of it. Save you cash, live without some bass for a while *gasp* i know its hard. and get a good amp.
