will it read lower ohms on a dmm? i have a pair of focal 6.5's and it feels like one of them is rubbing but it reads 3.5 on a dmm. does this sound normal? thanks

Yea, it will read at a strange impedance

Although, if it is a 4ohm sub DC Resistance 3.5 isn't abnormal

If it is rubbing it's time for a recone mang

although you could be pushing on it crooked

Just push down on the cone and if it scratches then the VC is blown.

not every speaker will read 4 ohm bnib like sub a 1 ohm sub will read .7. hope it helps

ive pushed down many a cones, and a few of them do scratch, if you push down a little bit off center it might scratch and some gaps are tighter than others

a dmm is a good place to start

Im hoping its just a tight squeeze in there, and i might be pushing a little crooked. thanks for the replys. if the VC was blown for sure would it definitely read weird on the DMM?
