Whats The Most Db's Anyone Has Seen from 1-10" Sub

Anything is possible, but for you to obtain 140 with a single 10", would be relying on too many factors to be just right. Throwing a sub in a large ported enclosure alone won't do a 140. If you want to hit that 140, then I suggest getting a pen and paper, because you have a lot of math to do.

I hate math.I was told by a buddy of mine i have to build a wall in the back of my ext. cab S-10 if i want high db's out of a single sub.I only want to run street so i want my box below all the windows.I think a wall is 2 extreme for me.I rather dump a couple c notes and buy a second amp and run 1200w rms-2ohm or 2000w rms-1ohm.I think power sometimes makes up for smaller enclosures.

I don't think you would have to build a "wall" to get high db off one sub. But I also don't believe that giving extra power to a sub that is in a smaller enclosure will make a big difference either. Unless it is a big power boost. But chances are if your trying to hit 140 with one 10" then you probably would not be underpowering your sub by much, or none at all.

I was gonna run 600w rms at 2ohms and 1000rms at 1ohm but i heard if i wanna compete and know i have a chance i have to have like 2000w rms and a large box.I don't wanna make a joke out of my self at the comps like some people do I wanna be known as a somebody thats all.I'm just trying to do my home work, find out what S H I T works...

really you dont want to have a huge amp if you dont need it bc in the comps they take into account your speaker size and number and then your amps rms out put at the lowest stable impedience. plus if you dont do as good as you want it doesnt matter, unless your in the world finals most comps are pretty fun and just a little competitive.

My suggestion to you is that if you haven't already been to a comp. go to one. It doesn't matter whether your ride has 1-10" or 8-15's. It's all about who can accomplish what feat given a certain setup. So if you go into a comp running one 10" and you are pushing the 140's, then I'd say that's nothing to be ashamed of, I know people who don't even hit 140 and they have 2-12's. If your know your car audio, then you will never have anything to be embarrassed about.

I'm trying to get as much info as possible.Ive been to 2 comps. One was boring and the other one was cool but i didn't snoop around enough to see what works my mistake.
