Whats louder power hx2's or kicker L7's??

Yes I am running them sealed now b/c I now drive a 2001 mustang GT. Its hard to get a ported box back there for them. My old car was a Tahoe, and like I said I had a big ported box in there with the same exact setup.

78nova I would try and listen to both subs in question and come with your own opinion they are very close in output and it will proabably come down to install, good luck.

well I used to have 2 12" L7's in a 1 cubic ft. sealed box each and they sounded allright, then I sold them to one of my friends and he put it in a prefab subzone box for the l7 and they get fuking loud running with a jbl 1200.1. And I've never heard the power hx2's

I heard from a bunch of people that they were pretty much the same but I've never heard an Hx2 so I won't comment on it.

I really must have miss the arguments. We were just stating our opinions. I'm sure you have never done that in the past. He asked a question and I gave him an answer based on my experiences. I've ran Power HX2's sealed and ported for a year and a half. One of my best friends owns a kicker dealership, and one of the other is an installer there. This town is flooded with L7's and L5's. With my old ported box I was louded than ANY L5 setup, but couldn't hang SPL wise with L7's. Just a fact from my own personal experience. I'm sure you would have liked that shared with you if you were debating an SPL setup with 1 of the 2 subs.

The L7's have more cone area and more displacement. They can handle just as much power as the Rockford's, if not more. Theoretically the L7's would be louder, but it just depends whose hands they are in.

one last question my brother wanted me to post. How would 2 12" power hx2's and 2 12" kicker l7's match up?
