Hey whats up, Im Jason and am REALLY into Car Audio, Im not anywheres near the best and im still learning alot about things, but it is one of my favorite things.

Now to my questiong..... I have 300 dollars and want some Kick ass subs or a Sub with extreme bass but nice and clean acuracy.

Resonant Engineering XXX 12" - I was told to get one of these with a custom box and I would blow people away. and personally I think this one looks awsome

L7 - Same as the XXX, told it will be awsome

L5 - People thought I should get two of them and if I do it right make it nice.

there was another sub I dont remeber what It was called, sounded Jamacin or something. Ba... I dont remeber

But post back and let me know what you think I should do for my price range!

you can get 2 15" kicker L5 for under 300$ and they would sound really good ported

Was the other sub a Brahma by Adire Audio? It's about in the 300 dollar range and is great for SQL.

Also if you guys post and say what brand and model I should get with the RMS and even MAYBE price that would BE mad cool of you!

an SX15 will hit some high numbers, i think ghs_wrestler has one in a 5.1 cubic ft. box and he says it hits 140 something and still sounds clean, i THINK its 1000rms and costs about $269+ shipping, very good sub for the money

The L7 will be loud, you probably wont have as much SQ though. Id go with a XXX or SX, whichever you can afford.

The XXX looks hott as hell and also I have heard sounds KICK ass! but what size would you recomend?

Instead of asking people what to get why dont u just get what YOU want to get. Sure you may be a little hesitent and want others opinions but research each product and find the pros and cons on each.

With that said... i say get the XXX you will be pleased.

I'm sorry but if anyone told you that a kicker solo-baric even came close to the SQ of the XXX they were dreaming. I'd try to see if Nick has any Mag 12s left, $300 shipped w/ phenomenal SQ, and can handle 1000wrms daily. If they're out you might try a couple ED Ks or Shivas.

Alright im PRETTY sure im going to get the XXX's but what size? Sometimes size can make a huge difference....

I was thinking one 15? or 12?

on the XXX the 12 and 15 have the same motor, the only difference should be SPL. Very nice sub btw.

Get the 15, you wont be disappointed. BTW what kind of amp are you going to be running?

yea what amp are you going to run, if you want a lot of spl, the SX is louder than the XXX until you get to really high wattage then teh XXX is louder so it all depends on the power of your amp

I just totally forgot about all of that! I own a Chevy 1996 Lumina 4 door 3.1 L

If I need a new Alt. or anything else that will cost me over 100 dollars......... then tell me what I can get that my STOCK ALT. will handel...

if your only going to be pushing around 1000-1500 watts daily i dont think you will really need a new alt

The xxx looks so cool to, and I really like the Look and from the FEW SE subs I have heard I like them alot. I always hear about Kicker this Kicker that, OH RF IS SOOO GOOD, each company is good for differnt things but so far RE looks really good to me and making big advances.
