Well last night as me and my soon to be wife........ok just call her wife were so close laying next to each other on the bed, both smelling like Vicks, she came up with an idear! She knows I want to get a bike to save money on gas and well................I just want to ride again. (Been a long time and have to go retake my DL test for it and everything......I think.) So she mentions maybe instead of you getting a bigger car (I have a 2006 Ford Focus ST and is uber small, but I love it.) maybe I can get the new car, under your name being my credit is shitty and mine is decent and I can get a decent used bike or try to finance one. Problem is that A)I love my little car and B)I won't be really saving any money due to me having to more than likely finance the bike.

So should I do that, because I would love to ride again. Has been since I was 19 and getting the urge for it, not to mention gas prices. Thing is the weather around sucks. Either is raining most of the time and then bam, winter!

Thing is she has a 98 Lumina LTZ loaded and is a nice car, but needs some work. New rotars, shocks, struts and something else I can't remember. I mean I get most of it free, cept the struts from my dad. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Car has 160,000 miles on it. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif Runs strong though and mostly highway. Car has been paid off as well and I could finance a bike for under 100 bucks a month. I also know my insurance will go up some with the bike.

Or should I do this.

Keep my ST Focus and trade her car on something else newish and have us both go on the loan. I can take the money I would spend on the bike and help her with payments. Then we would both have newer cars that run good, with a good warrantly and all.

What would you do?

Edit:Forgot to mention, I only drive 14 miles round trip to work and back. She drives 2 hours a day. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

trade her car in on a Jeep Liberty...with the sky slider roof //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif and 2.99 gas ftw //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

then after a few years he's stuck with 12mpg when gas is 10 dollars a gallon.

GREAT PLAN.

I would, but doubt we could afford that. I could go as high as 400 a month on a new car, but only if I trade my car for something else. When we were looking last year, they told me I couldn't have more than one car loan in my name. So we had to go under both. We were getting stuck at 300 a month on a Honda Civic 4 dr sedan, but had uber low miles and sticker was 14,000 for it. Also a forever loan term. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

Actually, I could pull out plenty of money, but saving for a house and that would be a huge chunk of what I have saved towards it. So is a no win situation in that aspect. I would have to talk it over with her on that one.

Maybe I could talk her into just buying the bike, lol!

Here at cavenaugh ford, they are doing this thing where you buy a new vehicle they will give you gas for $1.99/gallon. OR If you find the same vehicle cheaper they will give it to you. But as life in general there are always catches.

I would get a fusion, awesome cars and get around 27-30 mpg, with the 5-speed ******:D

Fusions are a nice car. I test drove the v6 last year, but ended up not trading my car on it.

Also this will be for the wifey, so 5-speed out of question, lol!
