I currently own audiobahn 12's AW1200q's w/ a A2150 HCT 1200rmsx1 @ 1 ohm stable and i want to change my system because i dont think audiobahn is doing it for me so i need help on choosing subs . Oh and I will be getting the same brand amplifiers to suit the subs i choose upon. So L7's or Rockford Fosgate. Thx for the help. Whats is Spl and what is SQ. I think spl is competition bass and sq sound quality im not sure.

i disagree.. i'd go L7, the new version is even better.. (although mine blew because of a shizzy amp).

i would take the t2's tho.. but i'm not a rockford sub person. would take one of their amps anyday.

I like the t2, the L7 is extremely powerful, but solobarics (squared subs) don't usually last very long
why, because they are square?

actually, you'd be amazed how low the actual return rate is...most returns we see are because of overpowering, plain and simple...that doesn't fall into a manufactures defect.

Just for clarification., no harm intended. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

the solos do give dang good spl but thats about all but i havent had much reliablity with the 04 models i went through 3 of them in 3-4 months with only an 1400w mmatts amp running the pair after the finally one fuked up i sold my whole system an gave re an try an omg am i glad i did

from my experience sadly, the L7's need a very very generous break in period. RMS type power or lower.. i blew mine in 2 days with a JBL 1200.1 @ 2 ohms, and most shops run kx 1200.1's to them daily and never have a problem @ all.. So, if you do get one, break it in for 18 hrs of play time.. and don't skimp and really turn it up after only 5-6.. that's what i did and i popped mine (jbl was also clipping.. main problem for the burnout).

You WILL NOT be disappointed with the L7's crazy azz amount of output. Mine's in a 2.5 cube box @ ~42 hz, and it was nearly comparable to 2 15" Eclipse Alums (sealed, PC-2350 powering) when i turned it up.. Although it only took like maybe 10 mins of playtime w/ the JBL turned up (4v, maybe a hair higher on the input sensitivity), and my deck a little bit over 3/4 volume, all bass boosts off and eq was flat, so it must have been the amp clipping that fried the sub.
