its winter and people are broke.... i used to just stay in a corner out of everyones way but now i feel like a playa and will talk from time to time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/sneaky.gif.7189749b3a3f769e8815b47e8ae87f88.gif

I dont understand the bitching about noobs and them trying to sell... I mean, we all had to start somewhere. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Depends on the MOD and the situation. But yes, it can and has been done before if and when needed.
however IP adresses can be easily changed, and if your simply running of a series of WIfi or public computers.. its worthless.

Noobs are not the issue, bros. Scammers are the issue. And there is no way to decipher between the two.
this ^

seems like these last two weeks we've had a ton of new sellers that have zero feedback and little to no posts..anyone else notice this? seems sketchy.

Only way to make site scam proof:

Send shiz to CA.COM, CA.COM inspects shiz.(if CA had some pros to do this)

Upon approval you are allowed to sell said items.

Upon sale CA holds seller liable for shipment of goods.

End Result: CA turns into modified Evilbay.

IMO though it would be worth the resources for this site to provide these amenities, people be more willing to join/buy/sell.

i used to buy/sell on PBNation a lot, and there were many such "3rd-party services" that would be sort of a middleman between the buyer and seller. The seller would ship the item, be it a marker, mask, tank, whatever, to the middleman, who would then inspect it for functionality and ship it to the buyer if it passed. The third party was usually paid a decent sum for this service, like 30-50 bucks. Not a half bad idea but you'd better have some darn reputable third parties or somebody's in a world of trouble.

Nah... Too many transactions here are obviouzly worth less thsn 50 to pay someone and pay double shipping.

Id prefer no selling without 75 posts. Plus a video with you and the objrct with yout username. Thstd reinforce.

Or make the forum free, but a one time seller fee.

true, it doesn't cost much to ship a $1000 paintball marker but it costs a lot to ship a huge speaker.
