What kind of amp do I need 15 inch Sub

So I managed to acquire a 15" sub the Xfire XMF15D22 for I hope a good deal $41/£32

Two questions
1. What RMS and RMS peak amp do I need
2. Will it break my civic windows

Any advice appreciated

Its 6000w max but 2000 rms so 2000 will be good.
Would a 1000 watt amp be ok just not as good sound or a 2000w max?

Get a Brazilian 3k or 5k. Full bridge will give you more output on the same electrical.

Looks like a SoundQubed HDC4 copy. 5k will work well.


You don't have to worry about your windows.

Just realised now i got it home its actually the XMF Devastator 3000w rms 9000max will the brazilian 3k be ok still would 5k make much difference?

If you are going Brazilian it’s only $60 more to get the MD8000 over the MD5000.
But I would go with more than a 3k personally. Do you have the electrical to support that much power?

Oh no i just managed to find of anything a 15 inch powerhouse sub that was real cheap when looking to just improve door speakers, so i'm out of my depth trying to setup.

I only have stock 8th gen civic battery does it need an extra battery or something like that and 4 gauge i currently have i guess i need 0 gauge now also.

Yes that is for a low powered amp/sub unit on a different topic different thread nothing to do with this setup the reason i asked is its been done and i didn't go ahead and do it i asked around.
As i wanted a separate setup that was temporary for now and connections are next to the positioning.


I'm sure that's how everyone learns by taking in available knowledge even a few fails but that's why this forum is great right as people get to share their experience and "help others" and hopefully avoid any errors.

All it took was two people to concur that even though it can take it and many have done for so long and i planned as temporary that the cigarette lighter was not the best, for me to reconsider even though like i said its been done.

Though ThatPurplekush its a bit saddening (not to me) you come of a little drama loving or thriving off from both posts towards me.
I might be off but from a man with a good life who isn't bitter i don't see why talk like that on first contact unless you are not in a good place yourself.
A good rule is if your life is good and you have a lot of love in your life you have no reason to come across that way. If they show you disrespect feel free to mirror go ham, but think is there a reason they are acting like that. Which is what i think every time i see someone drama loving or with bad manner so it doesn't affect me instead feel sad they are in that way of living.
Not meaning you but i feel you are coming off slightly obtrusive and for a welcoming community its seems odd to not establish a helping manner at least till you become known to each other and build banter.

REALLY! lol might i just mount the sub and superglue the sub 1mm in font of window and pre crack slightly the window. It would look better in slow-mo. Thank you for sharing your knowledge aha .
