If part of a political platform is being against assistance, then any state that is Republican or Red should not be a taker state.
So if part of political platform is to gut defense spending why do those states seem to get so much defense spending done in them?

So you're saying because a lot of federal defense dollars go to California (for example) that California isn't as "Charitable" as they might otherwise seem.
No. I'm saying that if we straight out ignore a full third of where federal money is going this isn't painting an honest picture and you guys are just jerking each other off about how great "your team" is. Again, you win. It's the people in MAGA hats cashing their welfare checks on the way to abortion clinics.

Because business people in those states are making money accepting and fulfilling DOD contracts. The political leanings of a business do not represent the leanings of a whole STATE. The VOTES do.
Why do you keep chasing this military angle that speaks nothing to the discussion?

We’re not ignoring anything. The funds you b are talking about have nothing to do with the imbalance we are talking about.
And again you are back to thinking that discussing factual info is somehow supporting a “team”.
Bill made $1M in stock trades for his employer. Steve made $1.85M for the same employer. Steve did better.
Is that taking sides or stating facts?

Trump publicly stated the Democrats have historically done a better job with the economy. Was he stating a fact, or taking sides?

Don’t confuse or conflate the two. Facts don’t have feelings. They are just facts. Just like bad weather that delays your flight isn’t a personal attack on you, facts are not a personal attack or support.
They are just facts.

Yes, however legally a contract is a meeting of the minds (ie a verbal contract). Since nobody reads the contract and everybody know nobody reads the contract, do we have a meeting of the minds?
Technically no, but that falls under “ignorance of the law is no excuse” area.
If we choose the easy way out, then it’s no one’s fault but our own.
And then you end up with twats crying that they or their lords and saviors get booted from private websites, because they didn’t bother to read the contract and the rules that must be followed.

If however, it’s proved that the company offering the contract took specific action to deceive us or hide the contract or coerce us into signing it, then we have a different ballgame.

Again clearly you've not bothered reading my posts if you think I'm on some "team." Yet again, I've never characterized anybody as welfare check cashing MAGA hat wearing welfare leeches. I clarified that I was specifically speaking to the politicians who are clearly singing one tune but dancing to another. I have no issues with folks in need of welfare whether they wear MAGA hats or have Biden bumper stickers. I'm not sure if those factiods about where I actually stand on the issue keep sliding by you or if your "misinterpretation" of my posts is purposeful and suits some agenda of yours. Please clarify

Just to clear somethings up. According to the CBO, defense spending is ~1/6th of the federal budget. Additionally, much of that spending leaves the country, ie the Aircraft Carrier groups we maintain in the Persian Gulf Region and across the globe as well as ports and bases that exist outside the US. Furthermore, much of that defense spending would be included in the monies already allocated to state budgets. So "our team" is "ignoring" a lot less than 1/3 of federal spending.

And "gutting" military spending has never been part of the Democratic Party's platform much like "gutting" social spending hasn't been on GOP's platform. However, claiming the DNC was out to gut the military has been a part of GOP rhetoric for a long time. So, yeah, I'm not shocked that Californians aren't protesting to have bases removed from Cali, which really isn't a viable option anyway. The Democratic Party's platform doesn't even mention defense spending or the military.

I'd say since the cell phone game is duopoly where we have no choice, there is a bit of coercion and deception. I opt of everything, yet somehow they are doing one hell of job tracking everything that the supposedly aren't tracking (deception).

I could live without a cell, but I'd still need a landline, and there's probably contract wording for that service too.
And then there's internet, streaming services, walking in public (where generally no right to privacy is protected)...

Imagine if your loved one died from the covid vaccine, and they censored you for talking about it, because that definitely happened:
