I guess that depends on how you define ineffective. If you define it as stopping the virus in its tracks, then they're incredibly ineffective. Maybe Trump "oversold" vaccine effectiveness when he made comments about the "Covid will just go away." Clearly he was mistaken.

Given the nature of both the flu & covid viruses, they'll never be controlled like polio for example. Due to both viruses being able to easily jump from humans to other animals and back there will always be large reservior of the virus on hand for a new mutation/outbreak, so from that perspective these vaccines will always be "ineffective."

OTOH, these vaccines are very effective at reducing your chances of a costly hospital stay or death. That has been pretty well documented.

It's kinda like snow tires, do they guarantee to won't slide in the snow - no. But that doesn't mean snow tires are "ineffective."

I have read no long term studies that support a reduction in hospital stay or mortality. I've read plenty showing it causes a lowered immune response. For a small # it could help but statistically we are seeing vax did more harm than good.

Since Covid vaccination supresses immune response we would expect to see greater rates of infection and more severe infection in vaxxed people. The existing data stands in stark contrast to that.

As I thought you were using "long term" as an out. Being unable to use data that doesn't yet exist, I'm left with the data does exist. That data overwhelmingly demonstrates the vaxxed population was significantly less likely to be hospitalized or died from Covid.

Of course, all of "my" data was falsified in the vast worldwide conspiracy to get us all vaxxed, therefore it's highly likely that vax killed more people than it saved. The up and coming "long term" studies will confirm this, unless the Clinton, Gates, Soros, et al Cabal is able pull off another worldwide conspiracy. And Trump only participated in this vast conspiracy because the Deep State pulled one over on him. Ironically, without Trump there wouldn't be 100s of millions of people with mRNA ticking time bombs floating around in their systems.
