My brother and I wore mask at work everyday. We both still got COVID. We both wore mask when we went to the store or out in public. We still got COVID. He died. Tell me how mask work again.
My brother in law died in a car accident and had his seatbelt on.
Tell me again how seatbelts save lives. Obviously BS, right?

You’re the guy who thinks the world is wet because there’s rain on your porch.
Try to think on a macro level.

For me, it doesn’t matter if masks work or not. If someone wants me to wear one on their property, I will. My opinion is that they work to keep your saliva in your mouth when you speak, but an air born virus will travel right through it. If Rob or any other liberals knew any real “science”, they’d know a percentage of how much virus is stopped from getting through the mask and how much virus is trapped when leaving your mouth. They don’t. They pretend to know science based on some shit they heard on Facebook, or a case study of 1000 people. Fake liberal scientists have destroyed their own arguments by being idiots who let their gums flap in the wind on social media. “Science deniers” are usually “liberal deniers”, but liberals can’t wrap their small minds around that, so they just spew hyperbole and pretend they know science. It’s pathetic.

The people turning to Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, memes, etc, for their medical info are the ones who are relying on “fake scientists” for their info.

Christ, there are people quoting a stand-up comedian and following his “protocols” for dealing with the virus.
No problem getting jacked on steroids, snorting an 8-ball of blow, using horse medicine, but the major pharmas “don’t know what they’re doing”.

People with hardly any education denying science that predates their lives by 50 years, simply because they were empowered. “I may not know how to add two and two, but I have done studies and masks don’t work”.

The problem with too many dumb people is they don’t know they’re dumb. Many more now even think they’re smarter than the cognoscenti.

Screw the KoolAid. Drink the bleach. Hurry up.

Sorry to inform you that both sides are the same level of stupid. One denies the science and one treats it as a new religion. Most liberals don't know science one bit, but they sure act like they do when trying to insult a republican. It's pathetic both ways

Science is the “new religion” for the people who want to deny it based on feelings and beliefs.

Remember that guy who was excommunicated for saying the Earth revolved around the sun? Yeah, that was because “god” said the science was wrong.

Science is based on proof, fact, observation, testing, verification. It’s not “beliefs”. It’s not “religion”. It’s not “feeling”.
A lot of people confuse the two.

We turn yo specialists because they know more than we do. It’s how things like the computer you are typing on got invented.

People who fight science with feelings are tilting at windmills. That’s pretty stupid, a waste of time, and can endanger themselves and others.
Nothing to be proud of.

I don't belive you know the science any better than I do. You're just spouting off on the internet to feel superior. That's how I see you.

You've used those analogies before. Good job defending your stance on mask fuccktard.

Isn't it nice how nobody can come together to fix shit. It's all finger pointing and arguing which has no productive outcome.

That's the thing about science. ANYONE can quote Einstein's Theory of Relativity and be correct, without even having to understand it. Einstein did the work and the proofs exist.
But, there are probably morons out there who "know" Einstein was wrong even though they have no proof, no education on the subject, no peer-reviewed studies, NOTHING. Hell, the existence of flat-earthers tells a lot about our society.

Similarly, people are now fighting against science because they were empowered to do so over the past several years. People fighting science with no cogent argument. But they "feel" they are right.

Why is it that members here will accept Ohms law and not call it bullshlt? Maybe they would if it had become a "political" statement. "You're a weak liberal if you accept that your $40 MSRP Pyle amp can't deliver 2,000 watts via 16 gauge zip cord and a 10amp fuse. I'll bet you wear a mask TOO, you sissy!"

It doesn't take intelligence to quote science, but if you think you can disprove science simply with an "I feel" or "I believe" or "because I know", you're really fooling yourself.

Not to let facts get in the way, but your meme forgets to include the rest of the story.
As printed in the New England Journal of Medicine:

"We understand that some people are citing our Perspective article (published on April 1 at NEJM.org)1 as support for discrediting widespread masking. In truth, the intent of our article was to push for more masking, not less. It is apparent that many people with SARS-CoV-2 infection are asymptomatic or presymptomatic yet highly contagious and that these people account for a substantial fraction of all transmissions.2,3 Universal masking helps to prevent such people from spreading virus-laden secretions, whether they recognize that they are infected or not.

We did state in the article that “wearing a mask outside health care facilities offers little, if any, protection from infection,” but as the rest of the paragraph makes clear, we intended this statement to apply to passing encounters in public spaces, not sustained interactions within closed environments. A growing body of research shows that the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission is strongly correlated with the duration and intensity of contact: the risk of transmission among household members can be as high as 40%, whereas the risk of transmission from less intense and less sustained encounters is below 5%.5-7 This finding is also borne out by recent research associating mask wearing with less transmission of SARS-CoV-2, particularly in closed settings.8
We therefore strongly support the calls of public health agencies for all people to wear masks when circumstances compel them to be within 6 ft of others for sustained periods."

The British Journal of Medicine quote is a comparison of cloth masks against medical-grade masks. Like comparing a butter knife to a scalpel for cutting skin. The scapel wins, so does medical-grade versus non-medical grad equipment.

If you're going to use memes to support your argument, not a terrible idea to check the accuracy of those memes or if they include all the information needed.

Billy's business had a 300% growth last year, but Steve's only had 50%. You should invest in Billy's business.
Except Billy grew from $100 profit to $300. Steve grew from $1.2M to $1.6M. More information was needed.

I bet you grass grazers would dress up like this if the government and TV told you that you’d be safe from COVID:
Like those kooks who wanted protection from the "harmless" asbestos dust they were generating, and eventually became required equipment.
How DARE those doctors and OSHA make someone wear a mask! Freedom!

Science changes and adapts when scientists find information they didn’t know before. It adapts and changes as more is known. What you do is the opposite of science. You use science to confirm an already preconceived belief. Confirmation bias is not scientific. We might happen to agree on a lot of science based beliefs, but if the science were to adapt, you wouldn’t adapt with it. You’d preach the same old BS you always do.

Science says the science is never settled. We know far less about reality than we know about it, and the whole point of science is to discover reality.

Ok, we're all morons. All of us, even the 180+ IQ people. We are all still relative morons in the grand scheme of the universe. That's why nobody should have power over anyone else. Science is ever-changing. It's very possible that masks and some vaccines could go like cigarette promotion did with the medical system back in the day. People use to think ingesting Radium was good for their health.

The problem, very simply, is shitheads. There's people who think they can tell everyone what to do, and that's all this is. COVID is the excuse for the people with the absolute worst intent in the world to enslave you, tell you what to do, run your life, like they're some kind of Scientism God.

Science never closes doors, never shuts questions out or is settled. "Follow the science" is like a joke, because that's not what the people who are saying that are doing. It's started to sound like "Follow Christ" or "Follow this religion blindly", and people like Fauci are the new high priests of this false religion, where a bunch of totalitarians pretend to be scientists.
