What does it take to install battery in trunk?

is it very difficult? is a bigger alt absolutly necassary? I know I need a bigger alt soon but would I be able to put a Optima in my trunk on my stock alt for now???

it would be ideal for an upgrade to a larger output alt and an extra batt in the boot at the same time.

The battery is not really going to give you the additional power you are looking for. The alt is the best way to go. You can hook up 10 batteries, but without a good alt you are still going to have problems.

Just go with the new alternator. An extra battery is not going to do anything different for a daily driver.
