Sub Amp Driver: 2-Channel Precision Power PCX-2200 (2x400 @ @ 2ohm)

now...how bout we do this?

Headunit: Alpine CDA-7894 (mp3 player ) ~400

Front Components: MB Quart Q Series 6.5" 2-way Component ~600

Rear Speakers: MB Quart RCK 116 6.5" 2-way coaxial ~200

*drool*

nice, especially with the ppi, i would love to get my hands on some of their pro series subs...but they are hard to find here now.

u mean u actually have the money for all that, and money for a mcintosh amp?!?!?! if u can afford a mcintosh amp, i say go for it. i only seen 1 at a car show (import showoff), so u'd be pretty original with one of those.

both set-ups are sweet!

mcintosh amps are awesome, really "clean" power! i almost bought one of their h/u's! on sale $900 with NO bells or whistles. looked like an old am/fm. i was told that it was probably the "cleanest" sound available. alas, the wife put a chock hold on the checkbook! saright though, i like my sony.

you havent heard of McIntosh? omg...they make some of the most EXPENSIVE freakin amps you'll find...more expensive than zapco. You'll probably pay 1200 bucks EASY for a 50x5 amp.... Clarity is unmatched...but then again, you gotta have the high end speaker with a high sensitivy. Such as Infinity perfects, MB Quart Q's, Dyna Audio, or Diamonds....

I just recently bought an Alpine CDA-7893, I bought one for $350 at my local Circuit City. I think you should purchase the CDA-7893 instead of the Mp3 model CDA-7894. The CDA-7893 has a better silver blue display, and has a far better output then the Mp3 model CDA-7894. Well do some research like I did. I'm thinking towards the future to connect the Apline Mp3 CD Changer. Your choices with PPI and MB Quarts are all good, you can never go wrong. Good Luck...

hmmm....i was thinking about going with the 7893 as well. Because yeah the 7894 reads mp3s but the 7893 can also read CD-RW. so then i wont be wasting any cds as well....my i'll probably go with the 7893 because i can get it for $275 out the door.

Question though B1utigg3r2, what do you mean by 'far better output'? as in what? sound quality?
