Who said you could talk?
Ok, I'll be honest here. I have zero carpentry skills so, When I needed a box for my new ED's I shopped around. Now heres where it gets interesting. Yesterday I had my system working fine. I went to take out my old sub box and as I removed each speaker wire I taped it with electrical tape fairly thoroughly as to make sure that they didnt short out. So I left them in there because today I went to have my box built as well as my alpine 4" installed. So I drop my car off. Everything working as far as I can tell. And came back 7 hour later to pick it up.
I walk into the store and they said my amp doesnt work. That it had no output. So as bewildered as I was I ask if they checked if My NF preout was turned on and he just looks at me funny! So I go otuside with salesman. Get in my car and now nothing works. I came back inside livid. And the salesman says that they think that the wires touched and thats why the amp fried. But as far as they knew everything else worked. They brought it back in and it was the harness that wasnt plugged in all the way, thats why none of the speakers worked.
But that still leaves me with the amp problem! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif
I know the ends of the wires were tapped up good. And I did them as I took them off of the sub box, 1 at a time.
The installer wouldnt even talk to me. He had to have the salesman do it for him //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/pissed.gif.9f665f96bc89e98e708dabd4580bb591.gif
Anyways, The store manager said to me after an hour of screaming and refusing to leave the store until it was fixed that He would help me out in some way The regional installer would be there tommorrow and that I would have to bring it back.
What do you guys think?
THIS IS WHAT I THINK HAPPENED:
The installer opened my trunk, took all my stuf out and chaecked out the wireing situation. Then installed the in dash speakers and when he checked to see if they worked well then thats when the problems started. Usually when a problem arises you would expect to hear what happened right from the horses mouth but this guy wouldnt even face me. Granted that I may have laid THE SMACK DOWN but something doesnt sit right here.
They sell the same amp as I have so, I am hoping for an exchange.
