What amp would you recomend for this sub?

G'day, this is my first post eh! Concider me a complete newb when it comes to anything involved in car audio eq.

Anyways, i've got this 12" 1200w sony xplod sub. It can handle 350 rms (or so the sony site tells me) and i'm looking for suggestions as to what amp i should get to power it. I'm more into sound quality then anything else, Making other peoples cars shake has never really been my thing.

I'd also like to hear some comments about the sub, if its complete junk or not. I had it wired up to my old car and only had 150 watts(I think) @ 2ohms going into it and it sounded pretty darn good. I'm using that amp, since its a 4 channel, to power my speakers in my new talon i just got. Just incase your wondering why i want a new one eh

I don't want anything too expensive, but i'll take all suggestions you might wanna throw at me. Do your good deed for the day, eh. Enlighten me!

If it is the newer P5 sub then it is a pretty decent sub and I would recommend the Alpine MRP M-350 or the Sony P5 Amp.

Hey Buddy the sony P5's are a cheap decent woofer and as far as the amp you could try to mess w/ the zx4000 from hifonics they are inexpensive and reliable.

Sony subs are decent. There are much worse than the P5's.
