Weight lifting help

listen man I dont know what all these people are telling you... some is good some is bad... but this is what I know...

first off, like someone said, work out all your muscles, not just one side (like chest and not back)... you need to do this because there are parts of your body that depend on other muscles. Like your shoulders, which depend on your chest, bi's, and back muscles... if you dont even out your workout you can eventually hurt something...

as far as eating... protein is your friend but dont neglect complex carbs, like wheat/whole grains. Once you start eating better when you eat bad for a day you will feel like shit, that is good. Tuna is a good thing as well as cheap. Personally I take whey protein in the form of a shake, 2-4 times a day.

cardio is a good thing, you should attempt to gain mass as lean muscle not fat. right now I seem to run about 1-2 times a week @ 3.5 miles each time.

I think you said your workout is 3 times a week... that is good, personally after about 2 weeks I would kick it up to 5 times a week working 2 parts each time.... this means that you would almost complete 2 complete exercise cycles per week... that should help as well

 
OK i just got back from the store...I got some whey protein shit, its 23grams per servings, so should I take one shake before my workout, and one afterward?

I also got flax oil pills,5 pills=1 tsp of flax oil, so how much do I take?When, and etc.

30 pills a day....shoulda gotten the physical liquid

 
I wont go into what you should do, but I do want to say this because everyone else has neglected it. Protien supplements are great for building muscles, mainly becuase they give your body what it needs to do so, BUT, too much protien can severely damae your kidneys. Many of these people have been working out for a while and many of them know what they need to do to stay healthy. Make sure you do not neglect your body of H2O while taking these supplements, make sure of that. And even if you are drinkingplenty of water, do not take more than recommended by someone who knowswhat they are doing because it could still cause adverse side affects and cause potentially harmful problems.

Ill just take 5 at each meal. 6 meals=30 pills, then when I run out in like 6 days, Ill grab the liquid
