wanna get 12" HC but ... only got 600watts to work with? lil help

i really want a 12 HC but with only 600watts im affraid i wont get the resolts im lookin for? i really want this to be a SQL setup either 50/50 or 60/40 on the SQ side... now what would work best box wise to get this? would a small ported box say like 2.5cubes tuned to 30 be better than 3cubes tuned to 30?

give me a couple ideas, maybe even on another sub choice

my hc's are only gettin 750 a piece and they flat out pound...i'd really like to grab 2 directed 1100D's to see what they do but don't have the funds.....they're sq it also pretty darn good....i kinda stepped down from the xxx .... so it'd be phonemenal compared to most

The HC will do just fine with 600 RMS. Make a ported box and it'll wang. I have 200 going to an HC 15 and it slams quite hard. Just awaiting my Planet Audio 2500D to power 2 HC 15's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

another suggestion....the SE WILL get louder than an HC up until about 1000 watts...where the hc starts taking off due to the better power handling capabilities....may want to think about that

the SE has pretty good sq....no xxx but good sq....but it's your choice...if you think you may upgrade amps later i'd go hc

how much money do u have? if u look on ebay, theres a seller called 12volt who sells refurbed once with warranty like daily. i've been watching his 1100's go like everyday.....i'm not sure if i wanna go that route for sure yet...may wait for the new eD1000watt amp

Id go SE route because RE still makes them, and not the HC, so if the HC dies, i dont think they can fix it?

they keep spare parts incase someones does break, they don't just get rid of all the parts when the stop selling them :thumbsupw
