voice coil

I have a Harrison Labs 1ohm Class D Monoblock 1600w 1 channel amp running into a Dual 2 ohm voice coil Orion H2 15". I have 2 1 Farad Digital Capacitors. I have a Sony DEH 8500MP Head. My bass will seem to cut in half after so long of music play,im pretty sure this is the voice coil, but it still hits. Im pretty sure i broke in the sub. Im not sure what it is, i dont even know if its the current flow between the caps. It seems like it cuts it half, and it will pound hard when its cold, only after awhile does it do this. Im curious if its the wiring or if i have a shorted vc?

Have you checked the Ohm of the voice coil again?

Have you pushed the speaker up and down to hear if you have any VC rub. You will be able to feel a scratchiness if it is rubbing. MAKE SURE you put equal pressure on the cone, or you will twist the VC and it could give you a false feeling of rub.

Check to see if you volts are dropping off at your amp. Power the system on and check the volts at the amp + and - terminal.

The amp may be getting hot and going into protect mode. Recheck the ground.

When it gets hot and the bass drops to a lower level turn it off, disconnect the sub and measure the resistance of the voice coils. One of them might be intermittent when it's hot.

The amp doesnt get hot, and the volts definitely drop when the bass hits. Whats the easiest way to measure the resisitance of the vc?
