Hey all, i was in the market for sub's ......i would not like to pay ovewr $450 for 1 12

All i want is 1 12"......capapable of about 500 watts continuous, w/o really killing the speaker......i was lookin at the Jl w6 v.2, Kicker s7, eclipse titanium, and also alpine type r....any other recommendations...which is the best out of those 4......im think the w6 v.2 but not too sure

what are you looking for sq or spl, if your going to spend 450 on one sub i would buy the resonant engineering xxx, mag d2, or an ED A, all should be under $450 and have lots of power

^^^^None of those subs are worth 450. I have 2 12 inch type r's that i got for 230 on ebay for both and I love them, awesome sq and will get very loud if u give them enough power. The kicker s7 isnt in the type r or w6's league. If u got 450 to dropp on a single sub i would personally go with a mag or an xxx but thats just me.

First lets find out what we are looking for. SPL/SQ ratio. How much room are you willing to give up. Is the 450 including box amp wires. Do you want all you can get for 450 or would you like to save.

i meant Kicker s7, my bad.......but im gunna be honest i dont even know what sq or spl mean........i want clear bass, good thump, dont want my trunk to sound like it is gunna blow off,........$450 was only for the sub itself, not for amp wires and all that stuff

L7's will blow Type-R's away in SPL!

L7 is what i meant in the original post.....scratch the alpine.........down to eclipse titanium, w6 v.2 or kicker L7, w/ money not being an issue for any of the 3

i would go with the eclipse titanium if money was no problem, but if it was i would go with the l7's
