UFC 60 .. results?

no way! royce MIGHT win 1 or 2, not 5.
Have you ever trained jiu jitsu or sparred with a knowledgeable fighter who can force submission within seconds? When so, you might understand.

Royce can compete with Matt easily. Yes he lost, I am not taking anything away from Hughes, clearly he is the welterweight champion right now and rightfully so. Gracie could easily take more than two wins from him out of ten, brother. rofflecoptersaucelollerskates.

No way...Hughs would win 75% of the time. If you saw that fight. Hughs just straight out....out powered gracie. He is just to powerful. Gracie cant turn him over like most of his other components. Hughs is just as fast as him to, which is what gracie used to his advantage in a lot of his fights. Once hughs had him down...it was all over..gracie couldnt even move!!! IT was awesome!!! I was goin nutz!!! Hughs all the way...FRICKING POWERHOUSE!!!!

and to poster above..........NO...DIEGO should NOT have won that fight!! he didnt do anything...yea the last round he was hanging on that guys back the whole round, but he didnt do anything!.

matter of fact yes! 7+ yrs of bjj, thai boxing, jkd, and filipino arts. believe me, i know just how fast things can happen.

Hughes was just too strong for Gracie. After seeing all of Gracie's fights I noticed his stand up was horrible and he didn't like to block. During the fight with Hughes when he was getting his *** kicked he didn't even try to block when Hughes was on top. Gracie does need to adapt more to the sport IMO. I do give him credit though for not tapping out when it looked like his arm was about to snap in half.

By the way I do think Diego won that fight. Allessio or whatever his name is had so many opportunities to take that fight but never capitalized on it. I hate that people think he won just cuz Diego had a cut over his eye. He was the aggressor the whole fight and landed more hits. You don't get points for running away from a take down.

Perhaps Gracie is getting too old for this. I would have expected better from him, but the MMA world has changed dramatically since the first UFC days. Now everyone has bjj training, and the fighters are faster, more powerful and just plain savvy compared to some of the lummoxes of the past. That was a poor outing by Gracie all around. He did take the kimura without so much as a wince though. But giving up his back was a poor move. I certainly expected better for such a big name matchup.

Now what's this 11-0 crap? Sakuraba beat Gracie at least twice in Pride fighting. Perhaps those matches were exhibition?

Gracie has always had one of the toughest chins in UFC. He takes shots to the face in order to get closer and force submission. You severly underestimate the strategy and professionalism of these fighters.

I'm sure age plays a small factor, too.
