doesn't look too shabby but of course imo the price tag is outrageous i guess its going head up with the W7 but main question for me is. Okay bought some type-rs from CC with extended warranty now i dont know what is going on with the type-rs right now if a new model is coming out or juss replaced with the type-X but lets juss say it is being replaced by the type-X since the type-r was the top of the line wont they have to give me something equivalent to top of the line when i use my extended warranty? btw i saw the type-x on crutchfield

so what you are saying is that if they are stopping the production of type R's, then you are going to blow yours just so you can get the type x. thats retarded, i doubt they are stopping the production of type r's, crutchfield would just get you another one of those. the x is in a whole different power class. also companies have ways of telling if you missused the product when it was blown.

well maybe im juss used to "internet subs" prices so i guess for being a mainstream brand its not bad and cobra I said CC which i meant circuit city's extended warranty and you know how those go and i kno it would be redicoulous but lets juss say type-r has been discontinued and Circuit City has no more in stock and they started getting the type-X.

I've never been a fan of Alpine but I have to say that woofer looks to be pretty decent and by the way Type-R owners swear by Type-Rs I'm sure it'll perform nicely as well.

I think the Type-X subs are going to be labeled for Alpines F#1 status, so not every Alpine dealer is going to carry them and might not even be able to order them.

I know for a fact that they are not going to replace the Type-Rs, the are just a higher line than the R's (just like the components).
