Type r vs. jl 6wv2

i have a 1.2 cubic foot per chamber ported box at 30 hz, im looking at powering 2 type r's with a kx600.1 amp but how does the sq and spl compar to a jl w6v2, would it b worth the extra money to get a 1 ohms table amp and 2 w6's? and i have to use the box so dont tell me i need bigger(i like ported over sealed and that box is about the biggest ported i can fit in my trunk, its a 98 monte)

A 1.2 cu. ft. ported box would suit a w6v2 very well. personally I feel that the W6v2 would be a much better choice for SQ. If you want sound quality either save up for the two W6v2s, you'll be very happy with them.

By far the W6V2 will be superior to the Type R's, well in my opinion that is cause I have had experience with both subs. Right now Im running a W6 1st ed. and I like it. But I have a question? when you said 2 W6's are they the 1st ed. of the V2's?

There's no question the W6v2s are by far superior to the Type-Rs, but I don't know if the W6v2s are the best for your enclosure, though ...

Your box is on the low end, any chance you can get/build a box thats at least 1.5 cu.ft./chamber?

but you guys still havent answered the exactly how does the spl and sq compare, like hoiw much worse and how much louder they are from each other, becasue im haveing a hard time becasue if i go to the w6's there dvc 4 and that means i hafta either get a 800 watts at 4 ohm or a 1 ohm stable amp,e ach of whcih will cost a lot also, weras i can get the two type rs an amp that is 600 watts at 2 ohms much cheaper, suggestions ne one?

w/the 12w6v2 u'll need a 500+ watt amp @ 2ohms
