I think you just have a better amp now thats doing closer to its rated power so your not used to your sub getting so much power because didnt you have an audiobahn amp before the 1500

it still sounds normal, rattles the hell out of my trunk...

Who the hell is this guy?.... You are rather annoying.

Anyway, I reccomend you set your amp's gain correctly before you actually blow to sub or fry your amp, which isnt fun. Buy yourself a DMM (digital multimeter, they are like $20 at Home Depot and WalMart) and set the gain properly.

Read the gain setting tutorial man... It will tell you how to do it.

your most likely clipping it, stop turning it up if the bass doesnt get any louder. Type-R's hate clipping and you can smoke it quick if you keep cliping it
