TV people Help, Snova this means you

IIRC, DLP has better contrast/black reproduction than LCD...
I think thats what I read too but I'm not sure how DLP is supposed to be on angles. I dont want a rear proj. that gets the dark glare as soon as im 40 degrese off of center.

I have ~1100 to spend, I just thought those were great deals especially compared to what Best Buy has them for.

they're pretty good with angles--i went to the local shop and did some studies because i want a 62" LG DLP and didn't want to run into exactly what you said. i positioned the chair at many angles in relation to the set and changed channels and popped in some dvd's and they performed very well

Did you by chance watch anything that wasnt HD. I heard they do that in stores when selling TV's.
yeah they do--but i watched just regular ol cable tv-flipped thru about 100 channels. still had great picture quality. it also depends on the resolution and contrast tho.

The only thing keeping me from buying it right now is the Warrenty issue. I know these high end TV's sometimes have problems. I think I could get the samesung 46" one from bestbuy for around 1600 with the employee discount.
